One Way to Draw a Mandala

There are many different styles of making mandalas. I personaly do a geometric style using a ruler and my compass. Look at 's gallery to see another type. One of the more famouse type is the Buddhist sand mandalas. Check here: [link]

This is simaler to the circle type I do in a way.

See? It's not difficult to produce something that looks cool with this style. Be wary, my first stab at this, so critique is warrented and expected.

Some extra stuff not mentioned: using a mechanical pencil in place of the pencil that comes with the compass can help keep the circle lines steady. Also, I like to use plastic compasses since they tend to be stiffer and cheaper than the metal kinds. Also, a compass wih measuring marks on it can help if you can't stay in one place to finish a mandala.
Anyway, I started drawing mandalas to help me relax and to help my mind focus. It helped me a little, maybe it'll be useful for you.
(Also, you can make pretty sweet tattos. Not that I want to get tatts, but your friends might.)
